Light treatment for hayfever - as used by GB Olympic athlete Andrew Steele
Blog / Copy this video
Dr Chris Steele's son Andrew has been selected to compete in the 2008 Olympics in Beijing China. Dr Chris explains in this video that although Andrew suffers from Hay Fever, he cannot take normal ant-hay fever medicine as they often contain steroids or other chemicals that could disqualify him from the games.
So he is using a new treatment available from Lloyd's Pharmacy - it uses red light transmitted into the nostril. This helps to prevent the production of histamines in the body, which are the result of a reaction to allergens.
